2. Home measure and quotes

Our home measure and quote are free and there is no obligation to buy. We measure every window ourselves and give you a written quote showing the blinds, fabrics, operation and price.

3. Placing an order

A contract is formed when you accept our written quote and we confirm your order.

Please check the order confirmation carefully, including room names, fabrics, colours, control side and fitting position, and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

4. Measurements

When we measure, we are responsible for the measurements and for the blinds fitting the window as agreed. If you supply your own measurements, you are responsible for them, and we cannot accept returns for blinds made to measurements you provided.

5. Made-to-measure goods and cancellation

Every blind is made to your specifications. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications.

If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.

6. Delivery and fitting

We will agree a fitting date with you once your blinds are ready. Please make sure we have safe access to each window, with furniture and ornaments moved clear where possible.

Please tell us about any cables, pipes or wiring you know of near where the blinds will be fixed. If a wall, frame or ceiling is not suitable for fixing, we will explain the options before we drill.

If you need to rearrange a fitting appointment, please give us as much notice as you can.

7. Payment

Ownership of the blinds passes to you when we have received payment in full.

8. Your legal rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Normal wear and tear, fading from sunlight over time, damage caused by misuse, and blinds altered or repaired by someone else are not faults.

9. Fabrics and colours

Samples and on-screen images are a guide. Dye batches can vary slightly between production runs, and colours can look different in different light, which is why we bring samples to your home.

10. Child safety

Blinds with cords or chains are supplied with the child safety devices required by BS EN 13120, and we fit them as part of the installation. Please do not remove them, and keep cords and chains out of reach of young children. Cordless and motorised options are available.

11. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

12. Complaints

If something is not right, please tell us as soon as possible by phone or email and we will do our best to put it right.

13. Using this website

The information on this website is for general guidance. Prices shown by the price estimator and on our cost pages are guide ranges, not quotes; your price is set by your written quote after we measure. We try to keep the site accurate but cannot guarantee it is always complete or up to date.

The text, design and images on this website belong to HD Blinds or are used with permission. Please do not copy them for commercial use without asking us.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
