About HD Blinds
Roller blinds, and only roller blinds
HD Blinds supplies and fits made-to-measure roller blinds from our base in Rainham, Essex, across London, Essex and North Kent. We measure every window ourselves, quote per window, and fit what we quote.
Why only roller blinds
Most blind companies sell every type there is. We decided to do one thing. Roller blinds cover more situations than people expect: bedrooms that need to be dark, south-facing rooms that need the glare cut without losing the view, bathrooms, skylights, conservatory roofs, bay windows, full-height glazing in a tower flat, and each of those is a different specification rather than a different product.
Concentrating on one product means the questions that actually decide whether a blind works get proper attention: the fit type, the fabric's openness factor, whether a long drop needs a heavier tube, whether a handle will foul the roll, whether a cassette or side channels are worth it. Those are the things our guides are about, and they are the things we check at every measure.
How we work
We measure, not you
A free visit to measure every opening properly, with fabric samples to see in your own light. If a blind is wrong because our measurement was wrong, that is ours to put right.
Quotes by the window
Every window priced separately, with fitting, brackets and safety devices included. You can drop a room or change a fabric without the whole quote changing.
Safety fitted, not left in the box
Any blind with a chain gets the device required by BS EN 13120, fitted at the correct height. In children's rooms we recommend going cordless.
Certificates where they matter
For offices, schools and other commercial premises, flame-retardant fabric certified to BS 5867-2, with the certificate supplied for your fire risk assessment.
Straight answers
If a room does not need blackout, we say so. If thermal blinds will not fix single glazing, we say that too. If a local firm would serve you better, we will tell you.
Prices in public
Our price ranges are published on the site, and there is an estimator you can use before anyone visits. No figure appears on a quote that you could not have seen coming.
