Roller Blind Price Estimator

Put in a size and a fabric and this gives you a realistic range, worked out from our published prices. It is an estimate to help you budget, not a quote, and not a price we can hold you to.

£95 to £112

Supplied and fitted, including brackets and child safety devices.

Estimates are interpolated from our published price ranges by blind area. Your quote may differ once we have measured: fabric choice within a range, an awkward recess, a long drop needing a heavier tube, or access all move the figure.

How this estimate is worked out

We would rather show you the method than present a number as if it fell from the sky.

    1. Each blind type has a published range. Standard roller £65 to £290, blackout £95 to £450 and day and night £175 to £390. Those are our real supplied-and-fitted prices, and they appear in full on the cost guide.
    2. The estimator places your blind inside its range by area. A small blind sits near the bottom of the range, a large one near the top, and yours lands in proportion. Size moves the price far more than fabric does.
    3. Motorisation is added as a separate line, from £180, because it is an addition to a blind you were buying anyway rather than a different product.
    4. The result is shown as a band, not a figure, because the fabric you pick within a type, the roll direction, the bracket type and the state of the opening all move the number a little.

What this does not include: side channels, cassettes, unusually long drops needing a heavier tube, conservatory roof systems, and anything requiring access equipment. Those are all quoted on sight rather than estimated, because guessing at them would do you no favours.

    Working out a whole house

The commonest budgeting mistake is counting windows rather than blinds. A three or four-bedroom house in this part of Essex typically comes to eight to twelve blinds, because the front bay is three of them on its own.

Count the panes, not the windows

A three-pane bay is three blinds. A five-pane bay is five. French doors are usually one per leaf. Run the estimator once per size and add them up.

    Mix the fabrics by room

Blackout upstairs, something lighter downstairs, wipeable in the kitchen and bathroom. Estimating the whole house at blackout prices will overstate your budget considerably.

    Fitting is already in

Every figure here is supplied and fitted, with brackets and child safety devices. There is no separate labour line to add on.

    Then get it measured

The visit is free and costs you nothing to take. It replaces an estimate with a price, and it catches the things an estimator cannot see.

    Frequently asked questions

No, and we would not want you to treat it as one. It is an estimate built from our published ranges to help you work out a budget before anyone visits. A quote follows a measure, is itemised per window, and is a price we stand behind.

For a normal window in a normal room, close enough to plan around. It will be least accurate where something unusual is going on: a very long drop, side channels, a conservatory roof, difficult access, or a fabric at the top of its range.

Because a single number would be falsely precise. Within any blind type there are fabrics at different prices, and the fitting details vary by window. A band is the honest representation of what we know before seeing the window.

Yes. Every figure is supplied and fitted, including brackets and the child safety devices required by BS EN 13120. There is no separate labour charge to add.

Run each pane separately, or put in the size of a typical pane and set the quantity to the number of panes. A bay cannot be covered by one blind. See the bay window page for why.

Both sit close to the standard roller range, so use that setting for a working figure. Sunscreen varies with the openness factor and thermal with the backing, and we will price the specific fabric at the measure.

Turn the estimate into a price

The measuring visit is free, takes about an hour for a typical house, and replaces every figure on this page with one we will stand behind.
